:

Welded, horizontal, single wall, cylindrical shell with dished & flanged ends.

Material

:

Shell & Ends – A36 or Eq., Pipes – A53 Sch.40, Forgings – A105, Supports – A36

Thickness

:

Recommended thickness, meeting all engineering and safety standards of tank are:

Up to 3000 IG – Shell 6 mm & Ends 8 mm

3000 IG to 10000 IG – Shell 8 mm and Ends 8 mm

Standard Connections

:
  • Manhole – 24” NB, Plate flanges
  • Filling – 3” NPT (M), perforated pipe with cap
  • Suction – 2” NPT (M), foot-valve with strainer fitted to the pipe’s bottom
  • Vent & Return – 2” NPT (F), socket with plug
  • Dipstick – 2” NPT (M), perforated pipe with cap and dipstick calibrated in Litre.
  • Discharge and Drain – 2½” NPT (F), socket with plug

Standard Fitness

:

2 Nos. of lifting lugs provided, for lifting empty tanks

Saddles shall be provided of 1000 mm height with 4 Nos. of mounting holes for each saddle. No of saddles varies, based on the size/ capacity of the tank

Access Ladder, platform and handrail

Inspection & Certification

:

Visual Examination of welds.

Certificate of Manufacturing shall be provided.

Testing

:

Tank shall be tested pneumatically at 6 psig

Surface Preparation & Painting

:

Grit-blasted to SA 2½ both internally and externally

Internal: Three coats of amine-cured epoxy painting system

External: One coat of primer followed by one coat of enamel painting system to Aluminium shade with red strip markings “DANGER, INFLAMMBLE” in English & Arabic on both sides
